Executive Board:

President 

• Preside over all meetings
• Coordinates the work of Officers and Committees for the promotion of the HSA

Vice President (2)

• Assumes the Presidency the following year
• Acts as aide to the President
• Performs the duties of the President in his/her temporary absence

• Two-year term
• Keeps records of receipts, expenditures, forecasting
• Provides updates at each meeting 

Secretary

• Two-year term
• Maintains HSA membership information
• Records the minutes of all meetings 

Committees:

Ways & Means 

• Coordinates all fundraising activities not expressly assigned to other committees 

Homeroom Parents 

• Assigns homeroom parents 
• Forwards school/HSA emails  
• Organizes Christmas gifts on behalf of HSA

Communications

• Updates the HSA website, calendar of events
• Communicates HSA overview of accomplishments in various mediums 
• Coordinates and provides HSA-related articles to the weekly newsletter when appropriate 
• Communicates volunteer opportunities to school community 
• Reviews and approves all HSA communication for consistency purposes

Social 

• Plans and organizes social events and other programs 

Teacher Appreciation 

• Organizes various activities for teachers throughout the year (i.e., Teacher Appreciation Day) 
• Organizes activities for Catholic Schools Week 
• Coordinates the overall Christmas and end of year collection for teacher/staff gifts 
• Creates the carline calendar for the school at beginning of year

Student Appreciation 

• Oversees the management of Secret Santa 
• Manages the Safety Program for 5th and 6th graders 
• Plans Catholic Schools Week Pancake Breakfast 
• Assists with student related activities as necessary

Closet/Uniforms (Used Uniform Closet)

• Creates an inventory of items/manage usage 
• Organizes old uniform sales at designated times of the year
• Prepares inventory of used uniform clothing

Spirit Wear 

• Coordinates and sells branded items 

Special Food 

• Coordinates mini/special fundraisers to benefit student programs

Constitution & By-Laws

• Monitors and ensures that proposed actions follow the HSA by-laws

Planning & Programming 

• Arranges topics for HSA general meetings 
• Coordinates activities and special programs with faculty and administration 
• Works with teachers to determine what support HSA can give to curriculum-based activities, etc. 
• Record meeting attendance for HSA general meetings

• Assist with several school-wide initiatives including New Family events, Open House, Catholic Schools Week events, and other assistance as needed
